The quote by Tolkien is so true…Well in most cases anyways. Only if Christopher Columbus was not lost, he would have found India, instead of America 🙂
People have been traveling for centuries and there are many reasons behind why people travel. While early travel was slow, dangerous it more related to trade and migration. Nowadays there can be many motives for travel like Pleasure, Relaxation, Exploration etc. The world nowadays is more connected and easily accessible.
When I think of travel, the first thing comes to my mind is visiting new and amazing places with my family, trying out amazing food, engaging in exhilarating and adventurous activities. Travel industry is a multi-billion dollar industry now and sky is the limit when it comes to various options for traveling.
In my mind travel has many benefits besides “creating those lasting memories”. Here are a few I can think of:
- Traveling can relieve stress and can provided the much needed relaxation
- It provides happiness and rejuvenates.
- It changes our way of thinking and teaches us how to interact with strangers & appreciate the world around us.
